expropriate (v), expropriation (also مصادره ); dispossess; take : to seize or interfere with the use of (property) by governmental authority; specif : to acquire title to for public use by eminent domain • deprivation : a taking away or confiscation; as the deprivation of a constitutional right (only in the English sense) or the taking of property under eminent domain without due process of law (i.e. without just compensation) • deprivation of property : due process guaranty which is abridged when government takes private property without just compensation except under extraordinary circumstances of the police power, though for deprivation of property there is not required an actual, physical taking for private or public use
